TNEA Aggregate

Can you tell me about the aggregate marks required for applying for admission in B Arch through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) Test?

Admission to 5 years (10 Semesters) B.Arch. Degree Program offered at University Department of Anna University, Government Aided Institutions and the seats surrendered by the Self-Financing Engineering Colleges is through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission).


Qualifying Examinations and Eligibility

(a) HSC (Academic)/Equivalent:

One who has passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam with Mathematics / Business Mathematics as one of the subjects.

i) Candidates other than BC/BCM/MBC & DNC/SC/SCA/ST should have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

ii) BC/BCM/MBC & DNC/SC/SCA/ST candidates should have secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate.

(b) Diploma

One who has passed 10+3 years Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central / State Governments.

i) One other than BC/BCM/MBC & DNC/SC/SCA / ST should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.

ii) BC/BCM/MBC & DNC/SC/SCA/ST candidates should have secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.

(c) International Baccalaureate Diploma

One who has passed International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling, with Mathematics as compulsory subject

i) One other than BC/ BCM/MBC & DNC/SC/SCA/ST should have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.

ii) BC/BCM, MBC & DNC, SC/SCA & ST candidates should have secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.

Aptitude Test

One should have passed (pass mark is 80 out of 200) the National Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi with validity as per the Council of Architecture norms.
