Whether you are transferring from a community college or a four-year college or university, CCSU will make your transition as seamless and easy as possible. Transfer students are an important part of their community they enroll about 1,000 each year and they want you to feel at home here! Transfer Students Admissions- They offer great programs like Transfer Tuesdays, which help new transfer students learn about CCSU, make friends, share information, and find the support they need to become a part of the Blue Devil family. Plus, each of their four schools Business; Education & Professional Studies; Engineering, Science & Technology; and Liberal Arts & Social Sciences offers a student-support advising center dedicated to helping students succeed academically. Transfer students earn some of CCSUs highest GPAs and have exceptionally high graduation rates! Requirements - Completed application Non-refundable $50 application fee Official transcripts from high school and any post-secondary institutions. (Hand-delivered transcripts will not be accepted and are not considered official.) Optional: A personal essay on any topic and recommendations letter(s) Applicants are not required to submit SAT or ACT scores if the applicant has successfully completed more than 12 college level credits or has been out of high school for more than five years. Transfer students who have taken courses outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. Send all application materials to Undergraduate Admissions Office, Central Connecticut State University, 1615 Stanley St., New Britain, CT 06050. Admission Guidelines- Admission to CCSU is based mostly on academic achievement. Typically, CCSU admits students with a college grade point average of C or better after completing at least 12 or more college-level credits from regionally accredited institutions. Higher grade point averages may be required for certain academic programs. Deadlines- Transfer students should apply by June 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester. They advise prospective students to submit an application at least three months prior to the semester in which they plan to enroll.
