The official notification for UGC NET June will release soon. I also have completed MBA Program. Now I want to apply for this Exam, so can you please give information about eligibility criteria? What is minimum age limit required to appear in UGC NET June Exam? Provide its important dates when notification will release.

The CBSE is conducts National Eligibility Test for inviting applicants for pursuing Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship in universities and colleges across India.

The candidates must know about the CBSE UGC Eligibility Criteria for this exam.

The University Grant Commission has changed the selection criteria for UGC NET Exam for the candidates who are going to appear for the UGC NET June-July Exam.

Eligibility required:

For this NET exam the candidates who are applicable on following conditions may appear in the exam.

For General Category Candidates 55% aggregate in Masters Degree or Equivalent Degree

For ST/SC/OBC/ PWD Candidates 50% aggregate in Masters Degree

The Ph.D. degree holders whose Masters level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.

A final year student of Masters Degree or passed out student whose result is still awaited is also eligible for UGC NET Exam.

Age Limit
For JRF (NET): Maximum 28 years
Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Persons with disability (PwD) and female applicants

For LS (NET): There is no upper age limit for Lectureship

Candidates must be an Indian National
