Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam in following branches of Engineering.

Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering

Eligibility:

Educational qualification
Must possess bachelors degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent (B.E/B.Tech)
Or
Must have M.Sc degree or equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects are acceptable for certain services / posts

Age criteria
-Age should be in between 21-30 years as on 1 January (for general candidates)
-The upper limit is relaxed for certain sections of the candidates.

Key Dates:
Starting date of online application is 22nd March 2014.
Last date of online application is 21st April 2014.
Last date to payment of application fee is 20th April 2014.
Written exam will be organized on 20th June 2014.
