Default Re: USC Viterbi Admissions Graduate

The application process for USC Viterbi includes various steps mentioned below:

• Applying to USC-Overview
• Submit Your Application
• Send Your Transcripts
• Send Your Test Scores
• Supplemental Materials
• Special Application Forms
• Submit Your Documents
• Dates & Deadlines
• Application Status Check
• Separate Commitment Deposit Requirement

To begin the process, please visit USC's online application system. Because of the high volume of applications the college receives, the college strongly encourages you to apply well before your program's deadline.

Please read the application instructions carefully, and double-check your answers. You cannot revise any of the information once the application has been submitted.

The application fee for most USC graduate programs is $85 (for all Marshall School of Business programs the application fee is $150). The fee is paid online via credit card when you submit your application. The application fee is non-refundable.

You must list all colleges, universities, and post-secondary institutions you have attended in the "Academic Background" section of the application.

Dual-degree applicants must complete and submit a separate application to each program.

You will receive a confirmation email containing your 10-digit USC ID number within 2-3 business days after submitting your application. Please do not mail transcripts or other hard-copy materials until after you have submitted your online application and received your 10-digit USC ID number.

Send Your Transcripts

You must submit official transcripts from all colleges, universities, and post-secondary institutions you have previously attended.

It is not sufficient to upload scans of your transcripts to the online application. Scanned copies are not considered official.

International applicants and domestic students (U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents) who have studied outside the United States should carefully review the Minimum Requirements for Graduate Admission to USC and Academic Records sections. The requirements in these two sections apply to all applicants who have studied outside the United States, regardless of citizenship or residency status.

Please fill out the College/University Transcript Cover Page (Form 3) and send it to the registrar's office of each university you have attended. Although the document is not mandatory, it will help us to match your transcripts to your file as quickly as possible.

USC alumni or current USC students do not need to submit USC transcripts to the Office of Graduate Admission (please be sure to include your USC enrollment in the "Academic Background" section so that we may match your application to the academic records already on file).

By regular mail:

University of Southern California
USC Office of Graduate Admission
3601 South Flower Street, Room 112
Los Angeles, CA 90089-0915

By courier service, such as DHL or FedEx:

University of Southern California
USC Office of Graduate Admission and Financial Aid
3601 South Flower Street, Tyler 1
Los Angeles, CA 90089-0915

(213) 740-1111

USC also now accepts official electronic transcripts, provided they meet the following guidelines:

The transcript originates from a secure site formally linked to the sending institution.
The school is located in the United States. We also accept electronic transcripts from India sent via TrueCopy Credentials. We do not accept electronic transcripts from any other overseas institutions or vendors.

Submit Your Application

To begin the process, please go to USC's online application system. Because of the high volume of applications we receive, we strongly encourage you to apply well before your program's deadline.

Please read the application instructions carefully, and double-check your answers. You cannot revise any of the information once the application has been submitted

Send Your Test Scores

Most USC graduate programs require either GRE or GMAT scores. For more information on test requirements, please refer to the homepage of your intended graduate department.
Most international applicants are also required to submit either TOEFL or IELTS scores. For information on our English-language requirements, please review the English Proficiency Criteria section.
USC's ETS school code is 4852. Applicants taking the GRE or TOEFL should use this code to ensure that USC receives your official test results. No department code is required.
If you are sending GMAT or IELTS scores, please select "University of Southern California" from the list of schools available for official score submission.
Only scores received directly from the testing service are considered official. USC does not accept self-reported test scores.

Submit Supplemental Materials

Most USC graduate programs require additional materials for admission review in addition to transcripts and test scores. These supplemental materials may include elements such as a statement of purpose, recommendations, writing samples, a creative portfolio, etc. Supplemental materials are reviewed by the department only, not the central Office of Graduate Admission.
