Default Re: UW ACMS Admission Statistics

The ACMS (Applied and Computational Math Sciences) program offered by Department of Mathematics, University of Washington is structured into a core and a set of options.

The same set of core courses is required for all options. Students declaring an ACMS major need to choose an option at that time. Options come in two varieties: associated with a particular application domain, or with a particular area of specialization in the mathematical sciences.

Admission into the ACMS program is competitive. Students can apply to the program twice a year, in Autumn and Spring Quarters.

The application opens the first day of the quarter and is due the second Friday at 5pm. The entire application is completed online. Admission decisions are made before registration for the following quarter.

Admitted students will be admitted into a specific option and will not be able to change their option unless they reapply.
