The Online MBA in Western Kentucky University is taught through the Gordon Ford College of Business which is a top business school with dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programs.

The Online MBA is comprised of 11 core MBA classes.
Classes are 100% online.
Currently 2 of these 11 include exams that are proctored.

All Online MBA classes are bi-term – about 7 weeks.
It is designed using "adult learning theory" - learners focus upon one class at a time. Students can take one course per biterm (the equivalent of 2 per semester).
Students can take one more course for a total of up to 3 in the 2 bi-terms that make up a semester at WKU.

Requirements for Admission to the WKU MBA Programs

1. Completion of graduate application form, a current resume with two references listed, submission of an official undergraduate degree transcript from each university attended and an official copy of a GMAT score taken within the last five years.

2. Applicants seeking admission must meet the following criteria:
Minimum undergraduate overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.75on a 4.0 scale, a minimum overall GMAT score of 500, and a written GMAT score of 3.5. GAP

Admissions Exception:

Applicant not fulfilling the above standards is considered on a case-by-case basis if applicant has a GAP score of 1100 or more (GMAT total scaled score plus the overall UGPA multiplied by 200).

3. Applicants for the Professional MBA option may use substantial professional work experience ( 5 years minimum of professional or mid to upper level management experience) to substitute for other admission criteria

4. Applicants who have limited prior academic background in basic business are required to demonstrate proficiency in eight major areas by:

o Successfully completing one or more preparatory courses as specified by the MBA Director, OR
o Successfully completing BA 502 MBA Foundation Modules, OR
o Successfully completing one or more core area proficiency exams( fees required).
