What Is Nationwide Education And Scholarship Test

I have done my 12th and someone suggested me to give Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST). Can you tell what the Nationwide Education And Scholarship Test along with pattern of exam and grading provided also provide me important dates to apply for this exam?

SEMCI INDIA conducts the Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST) on the last Sunday of January every year at their test centres in all major cities across India.

The purpose of conducting tests is to ignite students interest in pursuing knowledge and to prepare them for competitive skills, such as CAT, GATE, GRE, TOEFL

Exam pattern:

The test comprises of five sections as given below:

Grading of Marks:

Grade A+ From 90% to 100% From 180 to 200 Marks
Grade A 80% and below 90% From 160 to 179 Marks
Grade B+ 70% and below 80% From 140 to 159 Marks
Grade B 60% and below 70% From 120 to 139 Marks
Grade C+ 50% and below 60% From 100 to 119 Marks
Grade C 40% and below 50% From 80 to 99 Marks

Participation Fee:

NEST I: Rs. 600/- (Rupees six hundred only). Add late fees as / if required.

NEST II: Rs. 700/- (Rupees seven hundred only). Add late fees as / if required.

Important Dates

Last Date to Apply: 30 Sept 2016 (Thereafter, there is late fee of Rs. 100/- in Oct & Nov 2016 and Rs. 200/- in Dec 2016)
Admit Card will be sent by e-mail only a week before the test i.e. on 22 Jan 2017.
Result will be displayed on 05 Apr 2017.
