Graduate Management Admission Test GMAT Exam
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is managed through the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC). The GMAT is generally taken through students involved in pursuing management programs. The GMAT was planned by GMAC to provide them with a selection test for students applying for MBA programs. The GMAT exam is offered only in a computer adaptive format, making it the only standardized business school test that can be taken all year round in all parts of the world. The GMAT exam is administered in more than one 110 countries and used by about 4,750 business programs at 1,900 schools, including 52 programs. GMAT is now catered year-round at more than 500 test centers worldwide. The GMAT is a 3-1/2 hour standardized multiple choice exam planned to be selection criteria for admission officers in programs. GMAT is a critical constituent of the application and requires careful preparation. Most applicants need six to twelve months of intensive study to prepare for the exam.
