Distance learning is a field of education that focuses on the andragogy and pedagogy, technology, and instructional methods plan that objective to deliver education to students who are not physically “on site”. Distance education courses that demand a physical on-site presence for any reason adding the taking of examinations is considered to be a hybrid or combined course of study. Currently distance learning uses emergent technologies to increase traditional direction of learning. Distance education courses are offered through some type of technology.
