Meaning of Distance Learning
Distance education, or distance learning, is a area of education that stresses on the pedagogy, technology, and instructional system patterns that propose to deliver education to candidates who are not physically “on site” in a traditional classroom or campus. It has been depicted as “a procedure to make and offer accession to acquiring when the source of information and the students are separated by time and distance, or both.”
In other words, distance learning is the procedure of making an educational experience of adequate quality for the learner to best suit their demands outside the classroom. Distance education courses that demand a physical on-site presence for any reason (including taking examinations) is believed a hybrid or blended course of study. Distance learning, sometimes called e-learning, is a formalized teaching and learning system specifically planned to be fulfilled remotely by utilizing electronic communication.
