Optional Practical Training (OPT)can take direct either before graduation or in the year following graduation. OPT that takes place before graduation can only be utilized for up to twenty hours per week during the school year. After graduation, the employment can be full-time. Post-graduation OPT must be finished among fourteen months of the student’s graduation. Only students in universities who are pursuing degrees are qualified for OPT. OPT is one year of qualification to work in the United Stated in a job that is directly associated to your leading field of study. To be qualified for OPT, students should have been entered full-time for an academic year prior to the start of the requested practical training period. If students return from a leave of absence of more than five months, they should be recruited full-time for at least one academic year before they can be qualified for OPT again. Full-time Pre-Completion OPT
Full-time Post-Completion OPT
