Tezpur University PhD
Tezpur University was set up by an Act of Parliament in 1994. The articles of this Central University as ideated in the statutes are that it shall endeavor to provide employment oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the regional to national ambitions and the development of the state of Assam and also provide courses and encourage research in fields which are of special and direct relevance to the region and in the emerging fields in Science and Technology

Eligibility
(i) Master’s Degree in Humanities and Social Science/ Management Science/ Science/ Engineering/ Technology or Master’s Degree in allied subject with consistently good academic record and lower limit 55% marks or an equal CGPA in the Master’s degree.
(ii) BE/ B. Tech with an aggregate of 80% marks or equal CGPA with GATE Score.
(iii) A fellowship in Chartered Accountancy/ Company Secretary Ship from a accepted Indian or a foreign institution with not less than 60% or equal CGPA having a lower limit of Bachelor’s degree.
Selection procedure
On the basis of selection test carried on by the concerned department.
