University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is the specialized university for energy and oil sector studies. It is located at Dehradun and has been launched by an act of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand in the year 2003.UPES provides above 33 graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs to over 4000 students at its campuses, in the high development sectors of Oil & Natural Gas, Power, Aviation, Shipping, Automobile, Infrastructure and Logistics & Supply Chain.
Programs offered
The University provide a range of MBA programs covers areas such as Aviation Management, Energy trading and Information Systems management. Moreover, it furnishes MTEC program in areas such as Energy Systems, Robotics Engineering and procedure Design. The University also provides B.Tech. Program in areas such as Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science and Mechtronics and several LLB courses.
