St. Xavier’s College – Autonomous, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, runs the BA, BSc, BCom, MA and MSc Government Aided Degree Courses on Campus.

Eligibility

A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII)

Must have passed and examination of another University or Body recognized as equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination.

Admission procedure

The admission in St. Xavier's College is done on the basis of the overall percentage of Marks scored in the Qualifying Examination.

If the Qualifying Examination awards Grades, these are converted into percentages according to a scale provided by the University of Mumbai.

Admissions to the B.Com course are done through the College office, by filling up and submitting a form and through an interview with the Vice Principal of the Commerce section or his representative.

50% of seats are reserved for Catholic Minority students.

As per the directives of the Government of Maharashtra, there is also a reservation for Special category students and for Backward Class students.

The rest of the seats are for students from the General Category.
