as I want to take part in Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) and for the same here looking for its related basic info so would you plz let me know about the same ??

Andhra Pradesh Government conducts Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) cum Teachers Recruitment Test for the Posts of teachers.

Eligibility
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education).

b) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines.

c) 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

d) Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.

Exam pattern /syllabus

All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying One Mark, with four alternatives out of which One Answer will be correct. There will be no Negative Marking.

There will be Two Papers for the TET Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes I to V, Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a Teacher either for Classes I to V or for Classes VI to VIII shall have to appear in both Papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Duration of Examination: 2 hours and 30 minutes

Structure and Content (all compulsory)

i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks
ii) Language I 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iii) Language II (English) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iv) Mathematics 30 MCQs 30 Marks
v) Environmental Studies 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Total - 150 MCQs = 150 Marks

Paper II

No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)– 150

Duration of Examination: 2 hours and 30 minutes

Structure and Content

i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks
ii) Language I 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iii) Language II (English) 30 MCQs 30 Marks
iv) (a) For Mathematics & Science Teachers:
Mathematics and Science 60 MCQs 60 Marks
(b) For Social Studies Teacher 60 MCQs 60 Marks
(c) For any other Teacher – Either (iv)(a) or (iv)(b)


For Paper II Mathematics & Science, questions will be as follows:-

(i) Mathematics 30 MCQs (Content 24, Pedagogy 6)
(ii) Science 30 MCQs (Content 24, Pedagogy 6)
(a) Content – Physical Science -12 MCQs
(b) Content – Biological Science – 12 MCQs
(c) Science Pedagogy - 6 MCQs
