Biotechnology In IIT Bombay

I completed my B.Tech degree and planning to pursue M.Tech degree in Biotechnology from Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE). Can you tell what the Eligibility for admission for M.Tech in Biotechnology also provide address so that I can visit for admission?

The Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) is a nodal center for applying science and engineering principles to further fundamental knowledge and applications in biology and biomedical engineering

Eligibility for admission for M.Tech in Biotechnology:

First class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in:

i) B.Tech./B.E. in Biomedical, Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Metallurgy and Materials Science. OR
ii) M.Sc. or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Ceramics, Chemistry, Electronics, Ergonomics, Materials Science, Mathematics, Molecular Biology, Physics and Physiology. OR
iii) M.B.B.S. OR
iv) M. Pharm. OR
v) B.Pharm., B.Ds, BVSc degree (duration 4 years and more)

Written Test and Interview

Prospective candidates called for the interview will be required to appear for a written test in the morning of the first day of the interview. The written examination of 1 hour duration will be conducted.

The details are as follows:

All Candidates: Mixed (Mathematics + Human Physiology / Biology) Test.

The syllabi for the test will be in accordance with the 12th standard syllabi of CBSE.

Pattern of Test: Objective type as well as descriptive type questions may be asked.
