Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, formerly University of Roorkee and Thomason College of Civil Engineering, is a public engineering university located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India.

Institute Instrumentation Centre

Institute Instrumentation Centre (IIC) houses large number of sophisticated instruments used for high magnification imaging, material characterization, precision chemical analysis, etc. The Centre is run by trained technical manpower and researchers, who are guided by experienced Faculty experts.

Facility

This section provides facilities for design, development and fabrication of various type of electronic and microprocessor based instruments.

Some of the instruments available here are:

OrCad (Version 9.2) Software.
Intelligent Universal Programmer (ESA IUP-UXP)
Motorola s CPU12 Microcontroller family C compiler.

Training Facilities
This section also provides summer practical training facilities to the undergraduate students of this IIT as well as students of other Universities/Engineering colleges such as Allahabad University, Aligarh Muslim University, K.N.I.T. Engineering College Sultanpur and M.M.M. Engineering College Gorakhpur
