Can you tell me about the eligibility requirement for Sub Professional Post conducted by Philippine Civil Service Examination?

The Philippine Civil Service Examination is a nationwide examination conducted by Civil Service Commission. It is a general ability test designed to measure an individual's awareness to enter government service.

Passing the CSE entitles one to either a Professional or Sub-Professional career service eligibility which is one of the basic requirements for permanent appointment to career positions in government, except for positions that involve the practice of profession or are covered by special laws.

Qualifications for the Career Service Examination (CSE)

Career Service Professional and Sub-professional exas are open to applicants regardless of educational attainment.

Applicants for both levels must:
• Be Filipino citizens, at least 18 years old, and of good moral character;
• Have no criminal record or have not been convicted by final judgment of an offence or crime involving moral turpitude;
• Have not been dishonourably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; and
• Have not taken the same level of career service examination, regardless of mode, within 3 months from last examination taken.

Fully accomplished Application Form

4 copies of identical I.D. pictures

Original and photocopy of any of the following I.D. cards, which must be valid and contains the name, clear picture, date of birth and signature of the applicant, and the name and signature of the issuing agency’s current head/authorized representative:

Driver’s License;
Passport;
PRC License;
SSS I.D.;
GSIS I.D.
Voter’s I.D.;
BIR I.D. (ATM type/TIN card type with picture);
PhilHealth ID
Current Company/Office ID;
Current School ID
Police Clearance;
Postal I.D.; or
Barangay I.D.

For one without date of birth in the I.D. card/s, original and photocopy of Birth Certificate issued/authenticated by the National Statistics Office

For one holding dual citizenship under R.A. 9225, original and photocopy of Certification of Retention/Re-acquisition of Philippine Citizenship issued by the Bureau of Immigration
