Government of Assam, Department of School Education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) conducts Assam TET for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (Class I-V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Assam.

Total No. of Posts: 1618
Name of the Examination: Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)
Name of the Post: Graduate Teacher
1. Hindi: 1031
2. Sanskrit: 587

Eligibility
Applicants should possess following educational qualification.

Age Limit:
Applicants age should not be above 38 years.
Age relaxation is applicable upto 5 years for SC/ ST candidates.


Hindi Teacher:
Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T/ B. Ed. degree from any recognized University/ Institutions

Sanskrit Teacher: Shastri with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University/ Institutions for S.No- 2.

Selection Process:
Applicants will be selected based on test and interview.
