Manipal University offers Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS course of duration 4-years.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS

The BDS is a 4-year course and 1 year internship offered by MCODS.

Duration: 4 years plus 1 year compulsory rotatory internship.

Eligibility Criteria-

Pass in 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.

Age limit-

Only those whose date of birth falls on or before 01.01.2000 are eligible.

Admissions

Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET).

Entrance Test Type: Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET).

Test Syllabus:

Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General English include questions based on the 10+2 Syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards / Universities.

Test Pattern:

Group 1: Applicable to MBBS / BDS / BPharm / PharmD courses

Duration - 2.30 hours
Questions - 200 (MCQ)

The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Physics - 50, Chemistry - 50, Biology - 70, English & General Aptitude - 30.

Based on the marks obtained in MU-OET, Manipal University will declare a list of all candidates appeared for the entrance test
