Can you provide me the eligibility criteria for admission in B Tech Program through Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2017?

On basis of BITSAT 2017 scores, one can get admission in integrated first degree programmes at BITS Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad campuses. Exam consists of questions on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning.

BITSAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
One should have passed class 12 or equivalent exam (from any state or central board of school education) with 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. One also need to have secured 60% marks separately in each of the three subjects. Proficiency in English is another requirement for appearing in BITSAT 2017.

Only one, who is appearing in class 12th in the year 2017 or have cleared 12th in 2016, are eligible for BITSAT 2017.

Top rankers or candidates with Rank 1 in the central or state boards in India are offered admissions to the programmes of the choice, irrespective of the score/rank in BITSAT 2017, but must meet the aforesaid BITSAT eligibility criteria 2017.

Admission is purely based on the merit list, which will be prepared as per their scores in BITSAT 2017.

Direct Admission

One, who is board toppers in central or any state board, will be offered direct admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering and BE (Honours) at the 3 campuses in the preferred branches and institute irrespective of their scores in BITSAT 2017.

However, one needs to meet the aforementioned eligibility criteria set by BITS, Pilani.

Admission for Foreign Students

One holding a passport of any country other than India, can apply for admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering and BE (Honours) at BITS Pilani and BITS Hyderabad campuses under ‘International Students Scheme’.

However, one should have taken and passed SAT and SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Level 2, subject to meeting the aforementioned BITSAT 2017 eligibility criteria, conducted by College Board (USA).

Admissions to international candidates will be offered based on merit determined by the scores secured by the candidates in SAT and SAT Subject Tests.
