The School of Distance Education, formerly known as the Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, University of Calicut, started functioning in the Academic year 1981-82. Now it is one of the major Departments of the university and has also emerged as one of the major distance education providers. SDE is making all its effort to extend its support to reach the unreach and has been keen in providing facilities

Duration : 2 year

Eligibility Criteria

Any degree of the University of Calicut (Including degree Programmes of the SDE/Open Degree programme of SDE, University of Calicut)or that of any other University or Institute or Institution recognized by the UGC or AICTE. Programs of other Universities or Institutions shall be in 10+2+3 pattern (or 10+2+4) under regular stream.

Selection Procedure

Selection is based on the score obtained in the CMAT conducted by AICTE/KMAT Kerala conducted by ASC, Thiruvananthapuram and weightage awarded for 10+2 and the scores obtained by the candidates in Group Discussion and Personal Interview
The minimum score required for calling for GD & PI is 10% (7.5% for SC/ST candidates)
