The Cochin University of Science and Technology offers M. Tech admissions on the basis of valid GATE scores. Non GATE Candidates need to appear for a department test to be conducted by the respective department for the vacant seats after counseling for GATE candidates.

CUSAT M. Tech Eligibility Criteria:
• One must have passed B Tech/ BE/BSc Engineering Degrees in the respective discipline from any University of Kerala OR an equivalent exam with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 in 10 –point scale
• One must have a valid GATE Score.
• Non GATE candidates are considered for admission on the basis of Department Admission Test (DAT) for the vacant seats.
• GATE scores are not required for M. Tech (Marine Biotechnology. Such candidates have to appear for the JNU CEE M. Tech exam.
• M. Tech Marine Engineering aspirants also do not need GATE scores.
