The Cochin University Chess Club, CUSAT Chess Club is one of the pioneer chess clubs in Kerala.

It was the first Chess Club in Kerala to ever conduct an open FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament.

It conducts Chess Coaching Classes especially for students during summer vacation

The club conducts Chess Tournaments Viz. Intra-Varsity Tournaments ,Inter Collegiate Tournaments, Open Team Chess Tournament, One Day Rapid Chess Tournaments, FIDE Rated Tournament,
