I want to know the eligibility criteria to apply for Odisha Diploma Lateral entry Entrance Test so can you tell me?

Odisha Diploma Entrance Test DET is a state level entrance exam conducted by Directorate of Technical Education DTE, Odisha for admission to different polytechnic regular and lateral entry courses like non-engineering, engineering, TV and media, technical, film courses offered by the institutions of Odisha.

Odisha DET Eligibility criteria

For admissions to engineering courses:
Candidates must be cleared 10th examination with any discipline from any renowned board of India.

For admission to other courses:
Candidates should be cleared 12th examination with any discipline from any recognized board of India.

For pharmacy and Sound Engineering-
Candidates must have science in qualifying exam.

For engineering courses, candidates should have Math, Science and English in passing exam.

Candidates must have at least of 35% aggregate marks and 30% marks in each subject in passing exam.

There is no upper age limitation.

Age limit for engineering and Beauty Culture courses: The minimum age limit of candidate should be 14 years.

For rest of the courses the minimum age limit is 16 years.

Odisha DET Exam Pattern

Odisha DET Exam for regular programme will be asked in English and Oddiya language only while for lateral entry course there will be English language only.

The examination will comprise of one paper only with total of 100 multiple answer type questions

Time duration of exam is two and half hour.

Each right answer will be awarded with 4 marks

There is no negative marking.

Application fees-

Application fee of Rs. 350/- (for female candidates) or Rs. 450/- (for general category) and Rs. 200/- (for candidates from SC/ST/PH) through the debit card/ credit card/ e-Challan or net banking at any branch of Axis bank or IDBI bank.
