Re: Electronics Studies in Canada in Vancouver

Electrical Engineering is the study and application of electricity and electromagnetism. Electrical engineers deal with power generation and distribution, control systems, electronics, and telecommunications.

Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering)

Campus:

Vancouver

Length
4 yrs

Electrical Engineering consists of three eight-month academic sessions either following first year Engineering or following a transfer program from first year Science.

The second year is common to both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Some undergraduate curriculum changes will emphasize laboratory work and engineering design, without detracting from the programs strong analytical base.

You can select one of the following options: Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology & Microsystems, or Electrical Energy Systems, as well as a Minor in Honours Mathematics.

Requirements-

General admission requirements

Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school: Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by school principal, head, or counsellor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.

Admission average calculated on final year academic courses/exams: Grades required for admission will vary by program, but based on the India grading scale, the minimum average needed to fall within the competitive range is approximately 74% on a 33% pass scale, or 76% on a 40% pass scale.

Degree-specific requirements: Applied Science (Engineering)

Math, Chemistry, and Physics (Standard XII Level)
