Following is admission requirement and annual intake of Government Fine Arts College, Thrissur:

Admission Requirements:
Candidate who have passed in the plus 2 examination or equivalent qualifications are eligible for admission to the first year BFA degree course. for admission in BFA course candidate should have passed an aptitude test conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.

Annual Intake:

Maximum 40 students may be admitted annually subject to the aptitude assessed in the aptitude test.

The first year of BFA degree course shall be a foundation course to the BFA specialization. After they passed first year University examinations, they may be get admitted to the three specializations, Painting, Sculpture and Applied Arts, according to their talent and choice.
