Hello sir, here I came for to get admission in Gujarat Technological University. Will you please provide me which grade system is available in Gujarat Technological University?

There are 5three type of marking scheme is followed by Gujarat Technological University. Evaluation system for degree engineering (B.E.) is simple and straight forward. 100% weight-age is given to written exam (70% External Exam + 30% Mid Sem Exam).

Internal Grade (Term work & Practical work) is consisting of 50 Marks but it is not used to calculate CPI or SPI.

Marks will be converted to grade and then to grade point.

The Gujarat Technological University is having these marking schemes are:

SPI : Semester Percentage Index
CPI : Cumulative Performance Index
CGPA : Cumulative Grade Point Average

75-84 AB 9

55-64 BC 7
45-54 CC 6
40-44 CD 5
35-39 DD 4

Award of Degree:

If the course duration is more than 2 years, the degree shall be awarded on the basis of CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average).

For 4 Years Course : Suppose the course duration is 4 years then percentage shall be calculate considering average of the last four semesters performance (CGPA).

For 2 Years Course : If duration of course is of two years, the degree shall be given to students based upon CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) considering all the four semesters performance.
