Well the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public engineering and research institution located in Powai, Mumbai, India.


Hostel 10 Mess is a pleasant place to have meals with a seating capacity of around 120.

The mess staff including supervisors and kitchen workers are very amiable, friendly and co-operative.

Common facilities at H10 mess:

Two refrigerators
Pop-up toaster
Grill roaster

Facilities during meals:

Jain food counter.
Hot drinking water during meals.
Ginger water for better digestion,at lunch and dinner.

At hostel 10 mess, we also try our best not to compromise on health with taste and try to be environment friendly.

The major highlights are as follows- No use of artificial colors in desserts/pulav and special vegetables.

Seasonal juices.

Usage of filtered, healthy cooking oils wherever possible instead of refined.

Thorough washing and water soaking of possibly spray infested green vegetables.

Informative posters on wall about right eating habits.

Raw material and leftovers towards cow feeding.

The fines for some of the actions that disturb the decorum of H10 mess are as follows-

Taking utensils to room without entry/information to supervisor- INR 200

Feeding dogs in mess- INR 500
