The NSD (National Schools of Drama) is Counted as one of the renowned theatre training institutions across the world.

The institute was founded in the year 1959 by Sangeet Natak Akademi

Subjects of Study are as Follows:
Dramatic Literature
Acting
Direction
Design & Theatre Technique
Production

Eligibility Criteria :

Age Criteria :

Candidates’ age should be in between 20 to 30 years.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category may get age relaxation of maximum five years.

Educational Qualification :

Aspirants should be graduated from a recognized university.

They must hold proficiency in mother tongue and sound knowledge of Hindi and English.

Aspirants should have participated in at minimum six theatre productions or its equivalent.

National School of Drama Fee Structure :

Fee Type Amount

Stationery fee Rs. 1650
Caution money and library fee deposit Rs. 9000
Make-up kit 2000 (it’ll be adjustable)
Students’ Union membership fee Rs. 60 per year
Tuition fee Rs. 150 per month
Admission Fee Rs. 150
Mess charges (including lunch and dinner) Rs. 1350 per month (It may vary)
Medical charges Rs. 100 per month
Electricity & water charges Rs. 100 per month
Hostel rent per seat Rs. 200 per month
