Objectives of the Course

The major objectives of the course were as follows:

1. To develop the general awareness at all levels of organization,

2. Exposing participants to the fundamentals of safety management,

3. Providing exposure to the practical problems and their solutions with the help of live projects and case studies in the context of safety systems, and

4. Enhancing the capability of knowledge-base and confidence of personnel so that they could identify the problems, control it, and improve the working environment.


Content of the Course
The course focuses on the following topics:

1. Present condition of safety management and its acts and audits,

2. Theory and principles of safety management,

3. Tools and techniques of safety management,

4. Case studies from different sectors, like transport, process industry, home and office, mining site etc.
