No , there is not such thing like IIT JEE main Online exam is tougher than IIT JEE offline exam . Both the mode of exams having their merits or demerits .

JEE Main Online
Merits
Candidate can review questions and mark for later.
He/she can change answers.
Time is not wasted on marking bubbles in OMR sheet.
Chances of filling wrong bubble is eliminated.
Candidate get 6 extra days to prepare.

Demerits
Candidate could face technical issues.
Hew./she could note down incorrect figures while solving a question.
Candidate might not be familiar with the online pattern.

JEE Main Offline

Merits
Candidate are probably more comfortable with offline exam pattern.
He/she will be able to mark figures and questions properly.
Not have to waste time in keeping the pen down and using the mouse to mark answers on screen.

Demerits
Candidate cannot change an answer once marked.
Candidate cannot mark a question for review.
Candidate might mistakenly darken a bubble partially or against another question.
