Re: MBA edd programs The Texas Christian University TCU created a comprehensive Educational Leadership Program that combines the best of education and business disciplines. Created as a dual degree program by TCU's College of Education and the Neeley School of Business, the program is one of only four in the nation to integrate the Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.). MBA/Ed.D Dual degree program MBA/Ed.D Dual degree program is designed to prepare students to enter educational management in school systems, regional, state, or federal governments, research institutions, private foundations, universities or private sector companies Admission and Degree Requirements- For student pursuing the dual degree program through the Full-time MBA program, they must complete 36 hours of required MBA classes (MBA core curriculum plus 6 hours of business electives) as well as the START Workshop. The MBA program will accept 18 hours of the Ed.D. courses as electives toward the MBA degree. For student pursuing the dual degree program through the evening Professional MBA program, they must complete 28.5 hours of required business classes (MBA core plus 6 hours of electives) and required orientations. The MBA program will accept 19.5 hours of the Ed.D. courses as electives toward the MBA degree. At the completion of the first year of the MBA program, students may elect to beging taking coursework in the Ed.D. program. The Educational Leadership doctorate is a 60-hour program. The Higher Education Leadership doctorate is a 63-hour program. After completion of 42 hours in the College of Education, the student schedules comprehensive examinations. Both the MBA and Ed.D will be awarded at the same time.
