The National Schools of Drama is counted as one of the renowned theatre training institutions across the world. The institute was founded in the year 1959.

At this time dates for to taking admission in National Schools of Drama are closed. No one is invited to take admission in National Schools of Drama. Candidates may get admission in National Schools of Drama for next upcoming session.

The institute offers three year training program in theatre and the allied arts and after completion of the program students are awarded a diploma in dramatic arts.

Important Dates:
Application form can be downloaded online from 2nd May, 2016
Application form can be obtained from the book shop of the National School of Drama 5th May, 2016 to 30th May, 2016
Your request for application for via post must be reached till 16th May, 2016
Courses will be commenced from July, 2016

Eligibility:
Candidates should be graduated from a recognized university.
They must hold proficiency in mother tongue and sound knowledge of Hindi and English.

Age:
Candidates’ age should be in between 20 to 30 years.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST category may get age relaxation of maximum five years.

Applying process:
Candidates can either obtain the application form through post or it is available at its official website of NSD.

Candidates obtain the application form along with prospectus through post they need to send a demand draft of Rs. 225/- including Rs. 75/- for postage.

Demand draft needs to be obtained in favour of The Director, National School of Drama.
