The Candidates can apply for admission to Ph.D. programme at National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) either Online or Offline by entrance exams.

National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) is select candidates through following channels for admissions to PHD programmes:

For Ph.D:
Candidates must attend Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS).

They have also needed to attend Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Electrical Engineering / Electronics and Communications Engineering / Computer Science and Information Technology / Instrumentation Engineering.

Candidates who qualified in GATE-2015 in these subjects are also eligible to apply.

Through Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST)

If candidates have CSIR / UGC / DBT / ICMR examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Biology, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics the candidates should also fulfil the eligibility criteria of NBRC for Ph.D. programme.

Last Date of application from all channels, both Online and Offline, to reach NBRC is 31st March, 2016.

Application fee for various categories of candidates applying for Ph.D. or M.Sc. (Neuroscience) programmes is given below.

Last date of receipt of application (online / offline) at NBRC : 31st March, 2016

Eligibility:
Candidates must have Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology from a recognized Institute / University or a minimum of four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized Institute / University.
