Negative Marking in IPU CET
 
Can you tell me if there is an option for negative marking in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) for admission in its Business Management Program?

Yes, there is an option for negative marking in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) for admission in its Business Management Program. There is negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.


IPU CET Exam Pattern:

Syllabus for IPU CET:
Questions in IPU CET entrance are asked from 11th and 12th standard syllabus based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

Exam mode:
IPU CET is conducted in offline mode (OMR).

Language of the exam:
IPU CET is conducted in English language.

Time duration:
The paper for IPU CET is of 2:30 hours.

Total number of questions: 150
• For every right answer, one is awarded 4 marks.
• There is negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.

Marking material:
Only black ball pen is allowed for marking and writing the exam

Sections Covered in IPU CETExam:

Physics (33.33%)
Chemistry (33.33%)
Mathematics (33.33%)


Eligibility Criteria

• One should be an Indian citizen. Non-Resident Indians and Foreign Nationals are not eligible.

• One should not be less than 17 years.

• B.Tech. CET Code – 131: One must have passed in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided one has passed in each subject separately. One must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying exam.

• B.Tech. (BioTechnology) CET Code – 130: One must have passed in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology provided one has passed in each subject separately. One must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying exam.
