Gujarat University is a state university situated at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The university is an affiliating university at the under-graduate level and a teaching university at the postgraduate level. It is accredited B++ by NAAC

The Details of the Phd Program is given below

There shall be Three types of scholars in the Ph.D. programme:
I. Full Time Research
II. Part Time Research
III. Independent Research

Eligibility Criteria
A candidate shall be eligible to register for the Ph.D. degree only in the Faculty in
which he/she has obtained Master's Degree with at least 55% (SC/ST 50%) or

Exemption from Entrance Test
The candidates having one of the following qualification shall be exempted from the
entrance test:
i. Qualified in SET/UGC-NET, JRF/TRF, Entrance Test of CSIR/
ICAR/ICMR/DBT/DST/ etc.
ii. M.Phil. degree holder whose admission has been done through the Entrance
Test of Gujarat University


Procedure for admission
The number of available seats for each subject for Ph.D. programme in the university shall be decided well in advance and notified on the university website or by an advertisement, along with the date for the Entrance Test etc.
