Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) launched its 'Pure for sure' campaign in eastern India in a bid to win over customers with an assurance on the quality and quantity of fuel and lubricants sold at its outlets.

In the first phase, 98 petrol pumps would be covered and several hundred would be added later in phases.

Campaign details:

The Pure For Sure program triggered a whole new movement in the fuel retailing industry in India, which was a recognition of the consumers’ need for trustworthy and reliable fuel stations.

Launched on 15th August, 2001, the programme made the first ever promise of purity and service at fuel stations
