Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University, is a public collegiate university in Lucknow in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The institute being a constituent college of AKTU will soon apply to UGC & AICTE for recognition u/s 2(F) & 12(B) of UGC Act, 1956 so as to function as a grants-in-aid college and will offer M.Tech, PhD & D.Sc programmes

"Candidates who have passed Intermediate of U.P. Board or (10+2) standard from other board with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/ Biology are eligible for admission to first year of 4 year B.Tech. Courses offered by Colleges/Institutions of U.P. affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. .
