I want to know my TAN number for State Bank Of India SBI so can you please tell me?

TAN is Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number. It is a 10 digit alphanumeric number.

This number has to be attained by people who are accountable for deducting tax at source or collecting tax at source.

Every person whose taxes are deducted at source or those who collect tax at source are required to obtain TAN.

If a person fails to apply for TAN or do not quote the TAN in the specified documents, then the person will get a penalty of Rs.10,000.

Here I am telling you the process to know the TAN

Go to the official website of Income Tax Department, Government of India

Then click on tab “Know Your PAN | TAN | A.O.” from the left side of the page

Then a new page will open

On this page enter the details and then click on search button.

Then you will get your TAN number
