University of Delhi Library and Information Science department
was established in 1946 with the efforts of (late) Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, Prof. S. Dasgupta and Sir Maurice Gwyer. It is recognized as an Associated Project of UNESCO.

The following courses are offered by the department.

Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.L.I.Sc.)
Duration : One Year (full time) Course of Two Semesters

Duration : One Year (full-time) Course of Two Semesters
