UPPSC prelims exam is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) for recruitment for various posts.

Eligibility

Bachelor Degree in Any Stream at Any Recognized University in India

Age Limit -

Minimum : 21 Years

Maximum : 40 years

Age Relaxation Extra as per Rules

UPPCS Prelims Exam syllabus-

The Preliminary examination will consist of two compulsory papers

The papers shall be 200 marks each and of two hours durations.

Both the papers shall be objective Type & multiple choice in which there shall be 150-150 questions.

Syllabus-

PAPER - I (200 marks) Duration : Two hours

Current events of national and international importance
History of India and Indian National Movement
Indian and World geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.
Indian Polity and governance - Constitution , Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights
issues etc.
Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development Poverty Inclusion, Demographics,
Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
General Issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change- that do not require
subject specialization.
General Science

PAPER - II (200 marks) Duration : Two hours

Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills.
Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
Decision making and problem solving.
General mental ability
Elementary Mathematics upto Class X level- Arithmatic, Algebra, Geometry and Statistics.
General English upto Class X level.
General Hindi upto Class X level.
