I have done my engineering degree and panning to apply for Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) Indian Engineering Services Exam. Can you provide me eligibility and qualification for UPSC for engineers along with pattern also provide me important dates to apply for this exam?

UPSC has released schedule for civil services preliminary examination 2017, which is going to held in the month of June 2017.

A combined competitive examination is conducted by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Services.

The Examination constitutes of a written examination followed by an interview for the personality test.

The recruitment of qualified candidates is made under the following categories:

Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering

Educational Qualifications:

Obtained a degree in Engineering from a university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as universities under section-3 of the university grants commission act, 1956 or
Passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or
Obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time or
Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India)
