2023 2024 MBA - UPSC IES General Studies Question Paper

UPSC Indian Engineering Services Exam Pattern is enclosed below for the guidance of the candidates

The UPSC IES Examination 2017 will be conducted in Three Stages Stage-1, Stage-2 & STage-3.

Stage-I: Preliminary Exam.
Stage-II: Main Exam.
Stage-III: Personality Test.

Preliminary Exam Pattern :

The Engineering Services (Preliminary/Stage-I) Examination will consist of two objective type (multiple choices) questions papers.
IES Preliminary Exam is conducted for 500 Marks (Paper 1 – 200 Marks & Paper II – 300 Marks).
There will be a Negative Marking for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the objective type question papers.
One-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

IES Mains Exam Pattern

The Mains Examination Comprises of Two conventional type papers in Engineering Discipline specific.
The Total Duration of the Mains/Stage-II Exam duration is three hours.
IES Main Exam is conducted for maximum marks of 600 (300 Marks in each paper).
