Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Odisha was established in 1956 as the first engineering college of the State at the foothill of the world famous Hirakud dam.

As you asked I am telling Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) Burla Campus located at the foot of the world famous Hirakud Dam amidst beautiful surroundings of lakes and mountains. Burla is well connected to Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata with roads and railways. Sambalpur to Burla is 10 kms both by road and rail. Hirakud Railway station is only 2 km away from the college.
