What Is CTC What Are The Components Of CTC SMU
 
I am interested in the field of teaching and planning to apply for Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) faculty job want salary details. Can you please provide me details like what is CTC and what are the components of CTC also tell list of other facilities offered by this university?

Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) is a co-educational public-private funded university in Gangtok, Sikkim, India.

It was established in 1995 and is the first government-private initiative in the region

CTC is the total cost which company is going to spend on for an employee. CTC mainly consists of

1. Basic Salary - Which is like the base pay, a lot of things are linked to this like EPF

2. HRA - Allowance for housing

3. EPF - 12% of your Basic pay is taken out and same is also contributed by employer

4. Allowances - Rest all the salary is divided into some kind of allowances like special allowance

Components of CTC

The following are the components of CTC:
• Basic.
• Dearness Allowance (DA).
• House Rent Allowance (HRA).
• Medical allowance.
• Conveyance allowance.
• Special Allowance.
• Vehicle Allowance.
• Incentives or bonuses.
• Leave Travel Allowance or Concession (LTA / LTC).
• Telephone / Mobile Phone Allowance.

The following are some features enjoyed by government employees at different levels as per their eligibility corresponding to their designation/ grade:

1. The 12% of basic that the government deposits in their Provident Fund accounts, just like private companies.

2. Membership of government clubs or gymkhanas.

3. Free stay at various hotels and government guest houses.

4. Free telephone connection at home.

5. Free car with driver.

6. Reimbursement of newspaper bills.

7. Free use of many libraries.
