Yogi Vemana University College of Engineering, Proddatur was launched in 2008-2009. The college was renamed as YSR Engineering College in 2010. The college produces engineers in the fields of Computers, Information and Communication Engineering. The college offers Bachelor of Engineering in the following streams:

Civil Engineering
Computer Science & Engineering
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Electronics and Communications Engineering
Science and Humanities
Information Technology
Mechanical Engineering

Along with streams the college started new course in "Metallurgical Engineering ".
