California Lutheran University is a private, liberal arts university located in Thousand Oaks, California.

It is currently affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

CLU is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities, a commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

In 2012, CLU was ranked the 14th among regional universitys in the Western United States by U.S. News & World Report, a ranking still kept as of 2017.

Forbes ranked CLU 276 out of 650 "Top Colleges" in the US.
