Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2018 conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of Government of Tamil Nadu from candidates who seek admission to (i) MBA (ii) MCA, and (iii) M.E. / M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan Degree Programs

Eligibility Criteria

A pass in a recognised Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree exam
a) 10+2+3 years pattern (or)
b) 10+3 years Diploma +3 years pattern (or)
c) BE / B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Pharm (or)
d) (i) 10+2 + AMIE* (or) ii) 10+3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE

Examination Pattern

A Candidates appearing for MBA/MCA programme have to attempt 100 questions of 1 mark each in 2 hours duration. The exam also has negative marking. For every wrong answer marked deduction of 1/3 mark will be done.
